Blue Water Safe Horizons LOL Comedy Show Fundraising: Planning/Execution/Marketing/Promotion/Creative Services
The Challenge
Blue Water Safe Horizons, a local shelter for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault, wanted to establish an annual “fund/friendraiser” in the community, so it called The Write Company for help.
The Solution
The Write Company first recommended the concept of a local comedy show, with local well-known people serving as “comedians.” A committee of dedicated volunteers was put together and everyone chipped in, asking businesses for corporate sponsorship donations, and recruiting comedians.
The Write Company headed up the committee and also served as Chief Creative Consultants for the job, creating an event logo and writing/designing all print materials and digital images needed to promote the show to the community, and also the night of the event.
The Results
The LOL Comedy Show was a smash hit! More than $10,000 was raised at the first-ever event, and it was well-received by the community.
