The Challenge
The Blue Water Safe Horizons board of directors had recently updated the mission of the organization to reflect its original purpose: to provide shelter and programming assistance to women and children who are survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. The timing was right to update the organization’s brand identity to better reflect its new emphasis on its original direction.

The Solution
The Write Company suggested using the colors associated with domestic violence awareness month (purple) and sexual assault awareness month (teal) to best reflect the organization’s renewed dedication to serving survivors of such trauma. Graphics were added to indicate personal growth, since the individuals served grow and thrive after receiving services.

The Results
The new brand identity was introduced at a public event and is now being incorporated into the design of a new website currently under development. The organization has a cohesive visual identity for the first time in many years.
